Four Seasons has announced that the latest addition to its portfolio in China, the Four Seasons Hotel Suzhou, is now accepting reservations.

The urban resort, located on a private island in Jinji Lake, provides a blend of luxury and convenience for visitors seeking a city centre experience.

Four Seasons has collaborated with Chinese property developer Sun Hung Kai Properties on the project.

Accommodation and accessibility

The hotel offers 199 rooms and suites, and 11 villas.

Its strategic location is within an hour's drive from airports and train stations, making it convenient for regional and international travellers.

Guests can take advantage of a bed and breakfast offer in late 2023.

Tailored experiences

Managed by General Manager Arthur Ho, the hotel promises tailored experiences centred on escape, creativity, energy and well-being.

Family-friendly facilities and diverse onsite activities cater to a range of guests' interests.

The hotel offers outdoor and indoor pools, fitness facilities and an organic wellness spa feature.

Jin Jing Ge, its signature restaurant, focuses on Jiangzhe cuisine. Additional dining venues include Yun He, The Lounge and Bar, and the ISOLA poolside bar and grill. Personalised dining experiences are available through Dine by Desire.

Business and events

With over 1,000m² of event spaces, including the Four Seasons Ballroom, the hotel accommodates business meetings and social events. A private entrance enhances accessibility for event hosts and attendees.

The hotel has also positioned itself as a wedding destination, offering various indoor and outdoor spaces and penthouse suites with panoramic views.

Analyzing the key trends in luxury travel

In 2022, luxury travel took on a new perspective, prioritizing experiences over material possessions. Travelers sought personalized and customized journeys, while also embracing sustainability and responsible travel practices. With the increasing number of people working remotely and enjoying greater flexibility in their schedules, there has been a noticeable surge in bleisure travel. There is a growing interest in travel packages that offer a mix of business meetings and leisure activities, including sightseeing, shopping, and dining.
