Genuine Hospitality has announced the reopening of SpringHill Suites by Marriott-Chicago/Bolingbrook in Illinois, US, following a $3m renovation.

The reopening comes following the appointment of Island Hospitality Management as the operator of Springhill Suites Truckee, California, last month.

Located in Bolingbrook, the all-suite hotel was closed in March last year for renovation, which upgraded all 82 suites, the fitness centre, the lobby, the breakfast area, the pool and the exterior.

Genuine Hospitality chief revenue officer and partner Kurt Furlong said: “The SpringHill Suites by Marriott-Chicago/Bolingbrook, IL, $3m complete renovation will dramatically reposition the hotel at the top within the Bolingbrook hotel market, providing a terrific product and service to the extended stay, transient, corporate and group customers staying in the Bolingbrook and surrounding suburbs.”

The suites feature separate living, working and sleeping spaces, along with SpringHill Suites' custom, three-in-one sofa and the latest entertainment technology.

Guests at the property can also enjoy breakfast featuring hot as well as cold items.

It also provides a range of amenities, including free Wi-Fi, guest laundry facilities, a fitness centre and a 24/7 market.

The property is 22 miles from Chicago Midway International Airport and 26 miles from Chicago.

This hotel marks Genuine Hospitality's second SpringHill Suites in Chicago and its fifth Marriott-branded property.

It joins the existing SpringHill Suites – Waukegan/Gurnee and TownePlace Suites – Waukegan/Gurnee in Illinois.

Additionally, in the fourth quarter of next year, Genuine Hospitality expects to open Residence Inn – Chicago/Tinley Park in Illinois.

Currently, Genuine Hospitality includes a portfolio of 17 hotels across five US states under six global brands.
