The Glencarse Hotel, a family-run property in Perthshire, Scotland, has been put up for sale with a freehold asking price of £495,000 ($633,946.50).

UK-based business property adviser Christie & Co has been tasked with marketing the property, which is located on the A90 between Perth and Dundee.

The hotel, dating back to the 18th century, has been operated under the current family for 11 years.

It offers five ensuite rooms, a public bar, and a restaurant, catering to both commuters and tourists travelling between cities.

These facilities are available for private events and weddings.

The property also includes a beer garden and a garden area with potential for further development, pending the appropriate planning permissions.

In addition to the commercial spaces, the hotel features a three-bedroom accommodation for the owners on the first floor.

Christie & Co business agent Simon Watson said: “The Glencarse Hotel is a well-established hotel with huge potential for growth due to its multiple revenue streams. The owners’ accommodation could be developed into additional letting rooms, and the land to the rear of the building has previously been explored for development. The business would be well suited to an owner-operator or couple looking to make an addition to a current portfolio.”

The latest announcement follows the sale transaction of the Driftwood Hotel in Cornwall, which was facilitated by Christie & Co to a group of private investors, earlier this month.

The Glencarse Hotel was sold by owners Paul and Fiona Robinson.

Financial details of this deal were not disclosed.
