The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch, Arizona is undergoing a $115m renovation and rebranding initiative that will transform the property into Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort.

Slated to launch in early October 2024 after the overhaul, this will be the first Grand Hyatt hotel in Arizona.

Led by WATG and Hale Collective, the revamp includes upgrades to accommodations, dining options, the pool area, and meeting spaces.

Each guest room will feature a multi-functional living space, a spa-inspired bathroom, and a private balcony or patio.

Six new dining experiences, developed in partnership with celebrity chef Richard Blais, are part of the resort's transformation.

The four upcoming venues will comprise La Zozzona, Tiki Taka, Mesa Centrale, and Grand Vista Lounge.

Two poolside concepts, named Sandbar and H2Oasis, have been recently introduced.

The ten-acre pool complex, a 2.5-acre outdoor area with ten swimming pools, a sand beach, and a three-storey waterslide, will also see enhancements.

Set to reopen early next month, Spa Avania will offer personalised treatments, mineral water therapy, and other health-oriented features within its 19 treatment rooms, including a Himalayan Salt Room and couple-friendly options.

The resort's meeting and event spaces will also be elevated, with the existing 14,000ft² Vaquero Ballroom and 52,000ft² of indoor/outdoor function space undergoing revitalisation.

The newly constructed Arizona Ballroom will almost triple in size to 24,000ft², forming part of the 90,000ft² of total meeting and event space. It is due to open in January 2025.

Recently, Hyatt Hotels released its results for the second quarter of 2024. The company registered an attributable net income of $359m and a total revenue of $1.7bn during the three months ended 30 June 2024.
