Construction has begun on One Beverly Hills, a 17.5-acre mixed-use hotel complex, in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles County, California, US.

Owned by Alagem Capital Group and Cain International, the project aims to integrate the existing Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills with a revitalised Beverly Hilton into a unified site.

The project has been developed in collaboration with the City of Beverly Hills, Aman Group, RIOS Architects, OKO Group, Hilton, and Kerry Hill Architects.

It will also feature a new Aman luxury hotel, two residential towers, a retail pavilion, a conference centre, and public botanical gardens.

The Aman resort will feature a ten-storey hotel and a 100,000ft² private club, with extensive wellness facilities.

The Beverly Hilton Hotel, which first opened in 1955, is set to undergo a restoration and substantial upgrades.

These enhancements are expected to solidify the hotel's status as the city's leading event venue for the future.

Cain International CEO and co-founder Jonathan Goldstein said: “One Beverly Hills is poised to become a landmark development, seamlessly integrated with the local culture and environment. We are truly thankful to be collaborating with Foster + Partners, one of the world's premier architects, to realise this ambitious vision.

“The project, and its ten acres of gardens and open space, will redefine urban living, creating a sanctuary that has never been realised to such a grand scale in this legendary city.”

Foster + Partners studio head David Summerfield said: “We are delighted to see construction work beginning on One Beverly Hills. Our masterplan creates a connected green oasis, which blurs the lines between indoor and outdoor living and harnesses LA’s creative spirit.”

The development will also transform Wilshire Boulevard into a new green gateway, featuring a cascading stairway that merges the urban environment with nature.

These gardens will use harvested rainwater and recycled greywater, achieving 100% water sustainability.
