Florida's gaming landscape underwent a significant transformation as Seminole Tribe leaders and prominent celebrities introduced craps, roulette, and sports betting at the state's Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood, Seminole Casino Coconut Creek, and Seminole Classic Casino.
In a star-studded launch party at the Guitar Hotel at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood, on 7 December 2023, celebrities including Dwyane Wade, Mike Tyson and Rick Ross participated in the first official bets on the newly introduced games.
The red carpet event also saw the presence of Bruno Mars, Cedric Gervais, Diplo, Fat Joe, Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Heather Graham, Jon Bon Jovi, Sarah Hyland and Tiësto.
The celebrities actively engaged in the inaugural rolls of craps dice, spins of the roulette wheel and retail sports bets.
Grand celebration and culinary delights
To celebrate the launch of these exciting additions, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood organised a series of mega-events, including a one-time pop-up dining experience featuring the renowned Carbone restaurant.
Chef Mario Carbone curated the pop-up restaurant, paying homage to the legendary Italian-American dining establishments of New York.
Seminole Tribe of Florida chairman Marcellus Osceola Jr and other members of the Seminole Tribal Council, along with Seminole Gaming CEO and Hard Rock International chairman Jim Allen, led a ceremony at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood to commemorate the initiation of the new games.
Embracing new gaming offerings across Florida
Similar ceremonies took place at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek and Seminole Classic Casino.
The addition of craps, roulette, and sports betting was made possible by the Gaming Compact, a collaborative agreement signed and approved by the Seminole Tribe and the State of Florida in 2021.
These games now join blackjack, baccarat and other casino card games, along with thousands of slot machines, providing a comprehensive array of casino offerings at all six Seminole casinos in Florida.
