Hubli, an online marketplace and booking platform for corporate meetings, events, and group hotel lodging, has partnered with BeCause, a technology start-up transforming sustainability data management in hospitality.

This collaboration will enable Hubli to offer an extensive list of more than 25,000 eco-labelled hotels, enhancing clients' ability to make environmentally responsible choices.

BeCause's sustainability API will allow Hubli to integrate real-time sustainability data from more than 60 Travalyst-recognised certifications directly into its platform.

This will provide clients with insights into a hotel's environmental impact, including energy and water consumption, among other attributes.

Hubli users will now be able to easily identify and book hotels that meet internationally recognised sustainability standards.

Hubli founder and CEO Ciaran Delaney said: "We empower global enterprises to make it faster and easier for their teams to meet in the most cost-effective and sustainable way possible. We are excited to work with BeCause to automate and scale our sustainable hotel content around the world.”

Its sustainability module allows users to plan meetings with the lowest carbon footprint, book sustainable venues, and eliminate high-waste items such as single-use plastics.

Previously, Hubli enabled hotels and venues to manually upload third-party sustainability accreditations and connected with environmental certification bodies such as Green Key.

Now, with the BeCause partnership, Hubli will automate the accreditation process for more than 25,000 hotels via API, while still allowing manual uploads for non-hotel venues.

BeCause CEO and co-founder Frederik Steensgaard said: “Our ongoing partnership with hubli demonstrates how BeCause can help booking marketplaces easily ramp up the availability and visibility of a wide range of hotel sustainability data.

“We’re excited to see how adding new eco-certification data will help hubli better service its enterprise client base.”
