Hyatt Hotels has announced that its affiliate has signed a management agreement with the project company PT Central Sudirman Development to launch the first Andaz-branded property in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The new Andaz Jakarta Sudirman Hotel will be a key part of the Two Sudirman Jakarta, a mixed-use development that is anticipated to become the country’s tallest skyscrapers.
Development of the Two Sudirman Jakarta has already commenced, with the project set to include residential units, commercial spaces, and a range of dining as well as retail options.
The mixed-use development will offer easy access to Jakarta’s mass rapid transit (MRT) and light rapid transit (LRT) networks.
It will offer direct access to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport via the Airport Rail Link, enabling travellers to easily navigate the city.
Expected to open in early 2028, the Andaz Jakarta Sudirman will be situated in Jakarta's central business district, offering guests prime access to the city's main thoroughfares and transportation hubs.
The hotel will feature on the 40th to 72nd floors of Tower A, providing views of the cityscape.
The hotel's design by Tokyo-based Design Studio Spin will encompass 198 hotel rooms and 167 serviced apartments.
Guests will have access to a range of amenities, including the signature Andaz Lounge, an outdoor pool, a fitness centre and various dining venues.
The top floor will house a speciality restaurant, adding to the hotel's allure for both local and international visitors.
The new hotel will further expand Hyatt's presence in Indonesia, joining 14 other properties across various brands, such as Grand Hyatt, Alila, Park Hyatt, Hyatt Place and Hyatt Regency brands.
It will be Indonesia's first Andaz-branded urban hotel, complementing the Andaz Bali resort that opened in 2021.
Hyatt Asia-Pacific group president David Udell said: “We are excited to work with PT Central Sudirman Development for the first time on these plans to bring the imaginative and self-expressive ethos of the Andaz brand to Jakarta.
“Hyatt has had a brand presence in Indonesia for over 50 years. We are committed to thoughtful growth of our brands as we strengthen our position in the luxury, lifestyle, leisure and well-being space.”
