Hyatt Centric Downtown Sacramento and Presidio Companies have announced the reopening of the Hyatt Centric Downtown Sacramento hotel after its temporary closure for renovation.

The hotel experienced damage due to a water main break on its roof, damage that was restricted to guest room corridors and back-office spaces, while the rest of the hotel remained largely unaffected.

The 7th Street Standard, the hotel's restaurant on the lobby level, which features a bar and dining room, remained open during the renovation work.

The reopened hotel has retained all its employees.

Located in the US state of California, the hotel is managed by Evolution Hospitality, the lifestyle operating division of Aimbridge Hospitality and owned by Presidio Companies.

The hotel features 172 guestrooms and suites, as well as 2000m² of meeting space.

Originally established in 1911 as Hotel Clayton, the property was later known as Hotel Marshall in 1939.

The hotel, under the name Hotel Marshall, gained popularity as a prominent venue for jazz music in Sacramento.

Its rooftop lounge, Clayton Club, hosted famous performers such as Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday and Cab Calloway. Post renovation, the rooftop lounge pays tribute to the original club.

Situated next to the Golden 1 Centre, the Hyatt Centric hotel, which is now 11 stories tall, highlights its history in various ways, with its Marshall amps displayed behind the front desk and hand-painted murals of renowned musicians.

The hotel aims to provide guests with the comfort of modern amenities as well as the style of the past.

Hyatt Centric is a brand of full-service luxury hotels situated in popular locations, offering guests the opportunity to explore and discover.
