Hyatt Hotels has added Cheyenne Mountain Resort to its Destination by Hyatt brand in Colorado Springs, US.

Situated a short drive from downtown Colorado Springs and the local airport, overlooking a 35-acre lake, the property is intended to cater to adventurers, relaxation seekers, nature enthusiasts and more.

Hyatt Independent Collection brands global brand leader and vice-president Katie Johnson said: “Cheyenne Mountain Resort perfectly embodies the Destination by Hyatt portfolio, inviting guests to enjoy the natural beauty and adventure-filled stays Colorado Springs offers through a local lens.

“The addition of this unique hotel reflects Hyatt’s commitment to expanding the Destination by Hyatt brand presence in meaningful ways with distinct hotels that celebrate the unique essence of their locations.”

This resort features 316 guestrooms and suites, an array of amenities, including five swimming pools and access to 16 tennis courts, eight pickleball courts, an 18-hole golf course designed by Pete Dye, and has the Mountain View Restaurant and Elevations Lounge.

It includes 40,000ft² of versatile meeting space, 38 meeting rooms, including the Cheyenne Courtyard and Grand Rivers Terrace, and can accommodate up to 600 attendees.

Cheyenne Mountain Resort has a 9,000ft² fitness centre with a variety of fitness and aquatics classes, as well as outdoor courts for beach volleyball and basketball.

The Alluvia Spa and Wellness Retreat at the resort offers a range of treatments, such as aromatherapy massages, energy-balancing sessions, and facials.

Cheyenne Mountain Resort Sales and Marketing director Jess Johnson said: “We are excited to join the Destination by Hyatt brand to introduce our hotel’s elevated guest experience to those who have come to know and trust Hyatt hotels with their stays – whether traveling with family to explore a new destination or for team-building experiences among colleagues.”

This addition follows the recent announcement of the opening of Park Hyatt London River Thames in the UK.
