Affiliates of Chicago-based Hyatt Hotels Corporation have reached a franchise agreement with ALDAU Development, marking the debut of the Hyatt Centric brand in Egypt.
The agreement paves the way for the opening of Hyatt Centric Cairo West, a full-service 283-key lifestyle hotel, situated in Cairo's Pyramids Heights Business Park, joining the previously opened Hyatt Regency Cairo West.
Located in the heart of Egypt, near major business hubs and tourist attractions, the hotel will feature landscaped gardens, an art wall and a heated outdoor pool. Its décor is said to offer reference to Egyptian crafts and local pop culture.
The opening of Hyatt Centric Cairo West will expand the Hyatt Centric brand's portfolio globally, which already includes over 50 hotels.
Hyatt Middle East and Africa regional vice-president of development Ludwig Bouldoukian said: “We are proud to work with ALDAU Development to bring the Hyatt Centric brand to Egypt.
“This signing is an exciting milestone as the hotel will mark the Hyatt Centric brand debut in Africa, showcasing our commitment to enhancing our lifestyle portfolio and growing our brand presence in markets that matter most to our guests and World of Hyatt members.”
ALDAU development chairman Bassel Sami Saad said: “We are delighted to collaborate with Hyatt to deliver our second distinctive hotel experience in this prime location.
“With the city’s key attractions easily accessible, including the Grand Egyptian Museum and Giza Pyramids, the lifestyle property will be the perfect fit for the cosmopolitan-minded business and leisure travellers looking for accommodation in this increasingly popular neighbourhood.”
