Hyatt Hotels has expanded its Hyatt Place brand portfolio with the opening of Hyatt Place Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Jalil, in Malaysia.
This marks the first Hyatt Place hotel in the country as well as the first international hotel in Bukit Jalil.
The new hotel is owned by Mygres Ceramiche Sdn Bhd, a company founded in 2005 by entrepreneur Datuk Wira Vincent Lye.
The hotel’s daily operations and team of 104 associates are managed by general manager Kevin Flynn.
Flynn said: “With our smartly designed social spaces and guestrooms with separate work and sleep areas, our multitasking guests can easily accomplish what they need to do while on the road."
Located in Kuala Lumpur, the property has 250 guestrooms that feature dedicated spaces for work, play and sleep, as well as a cosy corner sofa-sleeper.
It has an all-day dining restaurant as well as The Market, which offers a collection of grab-and-go items. The hotel's bar serves beers and a list of cocktails and wines.
The hotel offers 4,520m² of event space, a fitness facility, a yoga room, free WiFi and a necessities programme that allows guests to borrow forgotten items.
Besides being well connected to golf courses, stadiums, convention centres and a recreational park, it is located within a 30-minute drive from Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport and a 45-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
It is also a short drive from the Awan Besar train station.
Headquartered in Chicago, Hyatt Hotels has over 1,250 hotels spread across 76 countries. The Hyatt Place brand has more than 415 locations across the world.
Earlier this month, Hyatt Hotels announced plans to open its first Hyatt House hotel in Melbourne, Australia.
