Global hospitality giant Hyatt has selected Oracle's OPERA Cloud solution as the property management system (PMS) for its extensive worldwide hotel portfolio.
This strategic move aims to standardise operations and data management across Hyatt's more than 1,000 properties, comprising both hotels and all-inclusive properties.
The deployment of Oracle's OPERA Cloud system will provide Hyatt with a unified user interface and consistent processes, enabling staff to work more efficiently and offer guests, members, and customers an enhanced and more uniform experience.
Leveraging Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's (OCI) high performance and security, the OPERA Cloud PMS will centralise data for improved insights and operational planning at global and individual property levels.
The integration will also afford Hyatt a more detailed understanding of guest preferences across different properties to facilitate the delivery of more personalised services over time.
Furthermore, Oracle highlighted that its OPERA Cloud's mobile device compatibility will grant staff flexibility to assist guests anytime and anywhere.
Oracle Hospitality and Retail executive vice president and general manager Alex Alt said: “With OPERA Cloud as secure data and service foundation of its operations, Hyatt will be able to scale its portfolio while providing owners, operators, and colleagues tools they need to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
“Moving to cloud with Oracle will enable Hyatt to unlock a new level of flexibility and service when it comes to innovating with speed and agility to adapt to unique needs and expectations of each guest, property, and market they serve.”
Through the Oracle Hospitality Integration Platform, all participating Hyatt properties, and their representatives can rapidly innovate and tailor their operations by incorporating new capabilities from an extensive suite of more than 1,000 pre-integrated business and customer services.
According to Hyatt, this initiative marks its commitment to providing seamless and intuitive technology platforms for staff while delivering long-term cost savings to its owners and operators.
Hyatt Global Field Technology Services senior vice-president Cameron Hammond said: “In today’s evolving environment, technology plays a critical role in empowering our colleagues so they can continue to deliver unforgettable experiences to our guests.
“By moving to OPERA Cloud and extending our long-standing collaboration with Oracle, we will be able to provide our operators and colleagues with a modern, secure platform to deliver better data insights and elevate their roles with more ease and efficiency.”
