Hyatt Place opens new hotel in Malaysia

The 202-room hotel marks a significant expansion for the Hyatt Place brand.

Hyatt Hotels has increased its presence in Malaysia with the official opening of Hyatt Place Johor Bahru Paradigm Mall.

The 202-room hotel, situated in Bukit Mewah in Johor Bahru, is the inaugural Hyatt Place hotel in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, and marks a significant expansion for the Hyatt Place brand.

A blend of comfort and convenience

Owned by WCT Hartanah Jaya Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of WCT Holdings Berhad, the hotel embodies the hallmark Hyatt Place design, providing a blend of style, innovation and 24/7 convenience.

Situated within Paradigm Mall, the city's largest shopping hub, and a short drive from key destinations such as Senai International Airport and Singapore's checkpoints, the hotel offers a well-connected experience for travellers.

Smart spaces and tailored amenities

General manager Sean Yoon expressed enthusiasm, saying in a company statement: “As Johor Bahru continues to grow and thrive economically, we are excited to add to the momentum by welcoming the first Hyatt Place hotel to Johor Bahru.”

“With our smartly designed social spaces and guestrooms with separate work and sleep areas, our multitasking guests can easily accomplish what they need to do while on the road.”   

Hyatt Place Johor Bahru Paradigm Mall offers a range of amenities, including 202 guestrooms, a Cozy Corner sofa-sleeper, diverse breakfast options, The Market for on-the-go meals, and The Bar.

The hotel also contains event spaces, a fitness centre and a Necessities programme - a stock of everyday essentials that guests may either purchase or borrow.

World of Hyatt bonus points offer

To further enhance the experience for World of Hyatt members, the hotel has introduced a special offer – 500 Bonus Points for qualifying nights from 6 November 2023 to 29 February 2024. 

This is part of World of Hyatt’s initiative to reward members staying at new hotels.
