A Hyatt affiliate has signed a management agreement with SingHaiyi for the Hyatt Regency Samarafushi Maldives, a new all-villa resort set to open in late 2027.

This property will mark the Hyatt Regency brand's debut in the Maldives, joining the Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa and Alila Kothaifaru Maldives as the third Hyatt property in the country.

Situated in North Male Atoll, the resort will be accessible by a 25-minute speedboat ride from Valena International Airport in Malé.

SingHaiyi executive director Gallant Tang said: “With plans to be SingHaiyi Hospitality’s second property in the Maldives, Hyatt Regency Samarafushi Maldives will enhance our strategic presence in the destination.

“We have selected Hyatt because of its established reputation and leadership in the hospitality industry. We are excited to collaborate with Hyatt to develop a resort that will embody the elements of the Hyatt Regency brand that guests appreciate.”

Spanning 24 acres, Hyatt Regency Samarafushi Maldives will offer 130 villas, including beachfront, treetop, and overwater options, each featuring a private pool.

The design of the resort by Park + Associates integrates traditional Maldivian architecture with a natural palette.

It will have a variety of culinary experiences, including a sunset bar, a beach club, a Japanese speciality restaurant, and an all-day dining venue.

Complimentary refreshments at the Regency Club lounge will be available to World of Hyatt Globalists and guests who opt for villas with club access.

The resort will also feature a kid’s club, marine and diving centre, fitness pavilion, yoga deck, and a spa with eight treatment rooms.

This announcement comes on the heels of Hyatt's partnership with Destination Gold Coast Consortium, which aims to launch the Andaz Gold Coast resort in Australia.

Hyatt's portfolio currently encompasses more than 1,350 hotels and all-inclusive properties across 78 countries on six continents.
