Hyatt Hotels and Trinity Investments have unveiled plans to rebrand the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa as Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort & Villas.

This comes as the $64m renovation is set to be completed in September 2024.

The renovation includes the property's 531 accommodations, with 39 suites already completed.

The resort’s 43 one- and two-bedroom private villas will be introduced by November 2024, featuring exclusive amenities such as private backyards, kitchenettes, and access to an adults-only spa.

Grand Hyatt Indian Wells will boast large guestrooms, each spanning 550ft², with various bed configurations and premium amenities.

The resort will also preview two new restaurant concepts in late summer, including Tía Carmen and Carmocha, in collaboration with Chef Angelo Sosa.

Additionally, the lobby marketplace has been enhanced to offer all-day culinary offerings.

As part of the renovation, the outdoor recreation area will see expanded cabanas and new dining options, including Palmadoro's food truck and a refreshed café.

The resort's waterpark, HyTides, features nine pools, a set of 30ft high duelling waterslides, a 450ft lazy river, and a splash pad.

Hyatt Regency Indian Wells also boasts 88,000ft² indoor and outdoor function space and is set to open a 30,000ft² Agua Serena Spa this autumn.

The resort partnered with Kalologie MedSpa for the opening of the latter’s new location on property in Indian Wells.

Hyatt US and Canada Susan Santiago said: “Grand Hyatt hotels showcase bold and vibrant design and architecture, creating captivating destinations within a destination. The newly renovated and rebranded Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort & Villas will introduce guests and members to an elevated level of hospitality.

“Located in a key destination for leisure and business travellers looking to experience the best of Coachella Valley, the refreshed resort will help guests celebrate magnificent moments and create memorable experiences throughout their stay.”

Last month, the company opened Zimbabwe’s first Hyatt-branded hotel, the Hyatt Regency Harare The Meikles.
