Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has further expanded its portfolio with the signing of a new SeleQtions branded hotel in Uttar Pradesh, India.
For this brownfield project spanning 1.3 acres, IHCL has partnered with KM Vyapar.
IHCL managing director and CEO Puneet Chhatwal said: “This signing is in line with IHCL’s strategy to establish a significant presence in spiritual destinations.
“This new hotel addition reflects our commitment to developing cultural circuits and itineraries, harnessing their tourism potential. IHCL will now offer three distinct brands in Ayodhya of about 400 rooms and we are delighted to collaborate with KM Vyapar Ltd for this SeleQtions hotel.”
KM Vyapar promoter Aditya Jhunjhunwala said: “We are delighted to partner with IHCL, India’s leading hospitality company for this hotel. We are confident that the company, with its successful track record of pioneering new destinations, will contribute to the growth and enhancement of Ayodhya’s hospitality landscape.”
The IHCL SeleQtions Hotel in Ayodhya will offer 150 rooms and a range of dining experiences, including an all-day diner.
It will also feature more than 10,000ft² of banqueting space for both social and corporate events.
Among the other amenities to be provided at the property include a spa, a swimming pool, and a fitness centre.
The hotel will also be within a short drive from Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport, providing access to nearby tourist attractions such as ancient temples.
The latest addition will bring IHCL’s hotel count to three in Ayodhya, spanning across SeleQtions, Vivanta, and Ginger brands.
This comes just after the company announced the launch of Gorbandh Palace, under the SeleQtions brand, at Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, India last week.
IHCL currently has 280 hotels, including 80 in the development pipeline across four continents, and 12 countries across more than 100 locations.
