Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of a partnership with Leisure Hotels Group for a hotel in Naukuchiatal, Uttarakhand, India.
Situated on four acres of land near Naukuchiatal Lake, the existing property will undergo extensive renovations and be rebranded as an IHCL - SeleQtions hotel.
The property will feature 88 rooms, offer various dining options, a swimming pool, a spa, a gymnasium and indoor/outdoor event spaces, as well as provide stunning views of the lake and Himalayan foothills.
IHCL CEO Puneet Chhatwal said: “The signing of this hotel is in line with IHCL’s vision of expanding its presence in the leisure destinations.
“Naukuchiatal is a picturesque hill station in Uttarakhand’s Lake District. Nestled amidst the Kumaon Himalayas it provides easy access to other popular hill stations in the state.
“We are delighted to strengthen our partnership with Leisure Hotels Group for our fifth hotel together.”
Following this addition, IHCL now has a total of nine hotels in Uttarakhand across its Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta and Ginger brands, with four out of the nine still under development.
