IHG Hotels and Resorts has signed franchise agreements with Aqarat’s subsidiaries to debut its Vignette Collection brand in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Kuwait, also marking the launch of IHG’s Vignette Collection in the Middle East region.
IHG and global hotel owner Aqarat’s new hotels, Th8 Palm Dubai Beach Resort, Vignette Collection, Dubai and Vignette Collection in Kuwait City, will be managed by luxury hotel operator United Hospitality Management.
Th8 Palm Dubai Beach Resort, which is already open and bookable, is located on the Western Crescent of Palm Jumeirah.
The beachfront resort features 162 rooms and suites, along with apartments in one and four-bedroom configurations.
Other amenities include a basketball court, two infinity pools, a fully equipped gym, a playing space for children and a beach club.
Meanwhile, Vignette Collection in Kuwait is scheduled to open later this year.
It is located in Kuwait City’s Al Bida, Salwa neighbourhood, a walking distance from the Arabella complex and Central Business District to provide easy access to leisure and business travellers.
IHG Hotels & Resorts India, Middle East and Africa managing director Haitham Mattar said: “Recognising the incredible growth and development opportunities, we are excited to continue our investment in key markets in the region and bring new brands to cater to growing diverse guest needs.
“Vignette Collection is a great brand for both our guests and owners as it offers a range of choices and the promise of unique stays in superior quality hotels. We are receiving a lot of interest for the brand and look forward to bringing more Vignette Collection hotels to the region.”
Vignette Collection is the latest addition to IHG’s luxury and lifestyle portfolio and IHG currently has six Vignette-branded hotels open across different countries, such as Sindhorn Midtown in Thailand and Casa da Companhia in Portugal.
