IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the inauguration of the initial Garner hotel, three months after the official launch of the midscale conversion brand.
Situated in the Seattle suburb of Auburn, IHG said that the Garner Auburn – Seattle undertook a swift conversion and re-opening, reflecting the brand’s allure, revenue potential and appeal to travellers seeking quality in the midscale segment.
Setting the tone for the Garner brand
IHG said the 95-room Garner Auburn – Seattle prioritises affordability while delivering the essentials for hassle-free stays, including a prime location, restful nights and consistent, top-tier service.
Conveniently positioned near popular entertainment venues and business campuses, the hotel caters to diverse visitor interests.
S1 Hospitality Management takes the lead
Operated under the ownership of S1 Hospitality Management, a local full-service hotel and franchise management company, the Garner Auburn – Seattle marks S1 Hospitality Management's debut within the IHG brand family.
Andy Cho, president of S1 Hospitality Management, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration.
“The Garner brand is an ideal fit to capitalise on the growing potential in the midscale market, and we have no doubt this hotel will become both a leading choice for guests seeking a high-quality stay and a blueprint for future owners wanting a flexible conversion option.”
Charting the course for Garner's future
The unveiling of Garner Auburn – Seattle will initiate a series of planned openings for the midscale conversion brand in the months ahead.
IHG's goal includes global expansion for the Garner brand in 2024, with the company projecting 500 hotels in the US by 2033 and 1,000 hotels by 2043.
As Garner Hotels’ portfolio grows, owners gain expedited access to IHG’s enterprise platform, revenue-generating systems, and distribution channels, and the opportunity to provide tailored experiences through the IHG One Rewards loyalty programme.
Jolyon Bulley, CEO – Americas, IHG Hotels & Resorts, lauds the team's dedication and the owners' eagerness to embrace the transformative offering in the midscale space.
“The debut of Garner Hotels less than three months after its launch speaks volumes about the hard work of our team to bring the brand to life, and the interest of owners [in becoming] part of a transformational conversion offering in the midscale space. Garner Auburn – Seattle is just the beginning of a great journey ahead for our 19th brand and underlines our track record for launching and growing brands successfully.”
