IHG Hotels & Resorts adds six Hotel Indigo properties in Europe

IHG has signed hotels in locations including Italy, Portugal and Spain, expanding its portfolio in southern Europe.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has strengthened its Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio in Europe with the addition of six Hotel Indigo properties.

One of these properties includes Hotel Indigo Bordeaux in France, which is set to open this autumn.

Additionally, IHG signed hotels in southern Europe, expanding its portfolio in the region.

These signings include Hotel Indigo Florence and Hotel Indigo Turin in Italy, Hotel Indigo Trieste – Palazzo Kalister, Hotel Indigo Jerez in Spain and Hotel Indigo Faro in Portugal.

IHG Hotels & Resorts managing director for Southern Europe, CIS and Georgia Eric Viale said: "Our Hotel Indigo brand is a huge success story for IHG in Europe and around the world and we’re continuing to expand its portfolio with wonderful properties that provide guests with memorable stays entrenched in the stories of their neighbourhoods.

"Hotel Indigo is set to double its portfolio over the next three to five years and continue its strong growth as one of the largest lifestyle brands in this fast-growing segment and its ongoing expansion in Europe will play a major part in this."

Hotel Indigo Bordeaux will accommodate 100 guest rooms, a rooftop restaurant overlooking the Garonne River and four meeting rooms.

The 107-key Hotel Indigo Trieste – Palazzo Kalister is a conversion project signed in collaboration with Gruppo CHC and is expected to launch in 2025.

Hotel Indigo Florence, expected to open later this year, will comprise 160 rooms, two restaurants, a gym and underground parking. The project has been signed in alliance with Grape Hospitality.

Hotel Indigo Turin, Italy, is a 50-room hotel in partnership with Gruppo CHC. It will also open later this year.

Scheduled to launch in early 2025, the 78-key Hotel Indigo Jerez is a conversion project in alliance with Meravo Management AS.

Hotel Indigo Faro will feature 127 rooms as well as a rooftop swimming pool with lagoon and marina views. The project, expected to open in mid-2025, has been signed in collaboration with Mercan Properties.

Hotel Indigo currently has 145 hotels opened worldwide, with an additional 128 hotels in the pipeline.
