IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with India-based property developer Brigade Group to introduce the InterContinental brand to Telangana, India.

InterContinental Hyderabad Neopolis is scheduled to open in 2029.

This newly constructed hotel is part of Brigade's upcoming mixed-use project.

IHG Hotels & Resorts South West Asia managing director Sudeep Jain said: “We are once again delighted to partner with Brigade Enterprises to introduce our luxury & lifestyle brand, InterContinental to the city of Hyderabad.

“The signing is an opportunity to bring quality luxury accommodation to the city, catering to the growing needs of diverse travellers and contributing to the city’s economic development. In line with our strategy to expand our luxury brands in the country, we look forward to welcoming guests and providing them with luxury amenities that InterContinental is renowned for.”

InterContinental Hyderabad Neopolis is expected to feature 300 rooms, catering to leisure, business, and spiritual travellers.

It will offer a variety of dining options, comprising a signature restaurant, two speciality restaurants, and a lobby lounge.

The hotel will provide eight meeting rooms and a ballroom to address the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions sector needs and accommodate large social events.

Among other amenities include a fitness centre, spa, swimming pool, outdoor recreation area, and a retail outlet.

IHG's expansion in India continues with 46 hotels currently operating under five brands and a pipeline of 49 hotels scheduled to open in the next three to five years.

This comes shortly after Six Senses, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, entered Japan with the launch of Six Senses Kyoto.

The design of Six Senses Kyoto reflects the Heian period’s heritage.
