IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with XECO Media to introduce a new Holiday Inn Resort in Maharashtra, India.
The 150-key resort is expected to open in 2027 in Karjat.
It will have an all-day dining, a bar, a lobby lounge as well as banqueting facilities, meeting rooms and a business centre for both social and corporate gatherings.
Among the other amenities to be provided at the property include a gym and an exclusive health club.
The property, situated equidistant from the two cities of Mumbai and Pune, intends to target adventure seekers, hikers, and leisure travellers.
The resort’s location will also provide guests access to caves, green valleys, temples, and more.

Last week, IHG signed a management agreement with A R Resorts & Hotels for the development of a voco-branded hotel in the Indian state of Punjab.
IHG currently operates 45 hotels under five brands across India and has an additional 45 hotels scheduled to open in the next three to five years.
