IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the foray of its Vignette Collection brand into Spain, with the signing of Vignette Collection Mallorca – Finca Banyols.

The company has signed an agreement with the owner Prevario Banyols and Hotel Collection International for this launch.

Vignette Collection Mallorca – Finca Banyols is scheduled to open in the first half of 2025.

Located in Alaró, the hotel will offer 45 guestrooms, a casual restaurant, a bar, and a signature fine-dining restaurant.

The property will also have spa treatment rooms, an indoor and outdoor pool, and events space.

IHG Hotels & Resorts Europe development vice-president Willemijn Geels said: “It is thanks to the trust of our partners Prevario Banyols and Hotel Collection International, who believe in IHG’s diverse portfolio and the power of our enterprise - that we can bring the first Vignette Collection property to Spain. As one of our key growth markets in Europe, we are thrilled to see our continued expansion in the country through new brands in new locations.

“As our luxury conversion brand, Vignette Collection introduces a new offering to Spain which allows owners to retain the independent identity and character of their hotels, whilst providing guests with a one-of-a-kind stay. I look forward to seeing Vignette Collection Mallorca – Finca Banyols join our growing Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio in Europe and further accelerate the presence of our brands in the region.”

The Vignette Collection currently has 24 properties open worldwide and aims to reach 100 hotels in ten years.

Vignette Collection Mallorca – Finca Banyols strengthens the company’s presence in the country, which offers nine Luxury and Lifestyle hotels.

In Europe, the property joins a pipeline of eight Vignette Collection hotels and three that are already open, including locations in Portugal and the UK.

This expansion follows a recent management agreement by IHG with Satyadeo Hotels to develop a new Holiday Inn in Rajasthan, India.
