Image Hotels acquires Courtyard by Marriott hotel in North Charleston, US

The hotel's prime location offers guests easy access to key attractions such as the North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Centre.

Image Hotels, a hotel development and management company, has announced the acquisition of the Courtyard by Marriott North Charleston Airport/Coliseum in South Carolina, US.

Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.

Expanding the company's presence in South Carolina, the Courtyard by Marriott North Charleston Airport/Coliseum offers guests easy access to key attractions such as the North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Centre, Charleston Tanger Outlets, and the Charleston Area Convention Centre.

Image Hotels president and COO Kal Patel said: “We are thrilled to add the Courtyard by Marriott in North Charleston to our growing portfolio and to expand our footprint into South Carolina. We expect the hotel to appeal to travellers coming to Charleston seeking a popular brand with modern amenities.”

The Courtyard by Marriott North Charleston Airport/Coliseum boasts spacious guest rooms and signature amenities, including functional workspace, spacious bathrooms, complimentary in-room high-speed internet, and a mini-fridge.

The hotel also offers facilities such as an outdoor swimming pool, a 24-hour fitness centre, a complimentary business service centre, two meeting rooms, a courtyard area, and the Bistro restaurant.

Courtyard by Marriott is a brand within the Marriott International portfolio.

Last month, the Courtyard by Marriott Johnson City in Tennessee, managed by LBA Hospitality and owned by Flynn Properties, underwent an extensive renovation. The three-storey hotel, which opened in 2009, now features 90 updated guest rooms and suites.
