ITC's Hotel Group has debuted its Storii brand in Kolkata with the signing of Storii Kolkata in the Indian state of West Bengal, as reported by ETHospitalityWorld.

This addition will bring the group's total properties in West Bengal to nine, with four more currently in development.

Currently, three Storii properties, Storii Shanti Morada and Storii Moira Riviera in Goa and Storii Amoha Retreat in Dharamshala, are operational across the country.

ITC Hotels divisional chief executive Anil Chadha said: “ITC Hotels already has a strong presence in Kolkata. Storii by ITC Hotels, Kolkata, will offer a boutique resort experience away from the hustle and bustle of the metro life.

“The addition of this property represents our commitment to enrich the tourism landscape of Eastern India, with each of our differentiated brands offering a varied choice of experiences to travellers.”

Set to open in early 2024, the property will offer 30 rooms and suites, along with banquet venues, an all-day dining restaurant and a bar.

The resort will also feature K by Kaya Kalp spa, which will include treatment rooms, an Ayurvedic centre, a swimming pool, a fitness centre and more.

It is situated in the South City Retreat District and is a 20-minute drive from the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass.

South City Projects (Kolkata) director Ravi Todi said: “With our first hospitality venture, we are bringing a world-class boutique resort with spa that will become the preferred destination for staycations in and around Kolkata. We believe ITC Hotels will add quality of service and an eye for detail to our project.”

Storii, part of ITC Hotels, is a selection of boutique properties catering to the diverse needs of global travellers.
