Lemon Tree Hotels signs new property in Dehradun, India

Expected to be operational by Q3 of FY25, the hotel will be managed by Lemon Tree’s management arm, Carnation Hotels.

Lemon Tree Hotels has signed a licence agreement for its new property under the Lemon Tree Premier brand in Dehradun, in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, as reported by Moneycontrol.com.

The property is expected to be operational by the third quarter (Q3) of the fiscal year (FY) 2025.

It will be managed by Lemon Tree Hotels’ wholly owned subsidiary and management arm, Carnation Hotels.

According to the company, the new hotel will feature 80 guestrooms, a meeting room, a bar, a banquet hall, two restaurants and other public spaces.

The hotel’s location provides easy access to public and private transportation to major cities in India as it is approximately 27km from the Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun and roughly 21km from the Dehradun railway station.

This signing with Manohar Lal Juyal Huf in Dehradun is an addition to the eight hotels that are currently operational. It also adds to the other five upcoming properties in Uttarakhand.

In August this year, Lemon Tree Hotels signed two properties in the Indian states of Himachal Pradesh and Odisha.

In July 2023, the hotel chain also signed a property at Zirakpur, in the Indian state of Punjab. This hotel is expected to be operational by Q2 of FY27.

The company's consolidated net profit in the June quarter was twice as much as the previous year, reaching Rs275m ($3.32m).

Lemon Tree Hotels runs hotels in both the upscale segment and the mid-market sector, having debuted its first hotel in May 2004.

Currently, the hotel chain manages 8,550 rooms in 91 hotels located in 57 different locations, both in India and abroad, under its various brands.
