Lemon Tree Hotels signs new hotel in Ayodhya, India 

Expected to open in the financial year 2028, the hotel will join the seven existing and six upcoming hotels in the state.

Lemon Tree Hotels has signed a new hotel, Lemon Tree Hotel, Civil Lines, Ayodhya, expanding its presence across the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. 

Expected to open in the financial year 2028, the hotel will join the seven existing and six upcoming hotels in the state. 

Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a fully-owned unit of Lemon Tree Hotels, will manage the new property.  

The upcoming hotel will offer 80 rooms, a restaurant, a rooftop lounge bar, a swimming pool, and a fitness centre.  

Additionally, it will provide banquet halls and other public spaces. 

Lemon Tree Hotel, Civil Lines, Ayodhya will be nearly 5.6km from the Maharshi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya Dham and 7.3km from the Ayodhya railway station.  

Lemon Tree Hotels Managed & Franchise Business CEO Vilas Pawar said: “In recent years, spiritual destinations have seen a marked uptick in the number of visitors and Ayodhya features high on the must-visit list for pilgrims.  

“The city holds immense spiritual and cultural significance in Uttar Pradesh and we are thrilled to expand our presence in the city.” 

This development comes close on the heels of Lemon Tree Hotels' signing of an upscale property under its Aurika Hotels & Resorts brand in Surat. 

Lemon Tree Hotels opened its first hotel in May 2004. 

The company's current portfolio includes more than 160 hotels, with more than 110 operational hotels and over 60 hotels that are in the pipeline across India and internationally.
