Lemon Tree Hotels has signed for a new property, Lemon Tree Hotel, Morbi, scheduled to open in the financial year 2029.

To be managed by Lemon Tree Hotels, the establishment aims to cater to the region's growing tourism and business potential.

Morbi, known as the "ceramics capital of India," combines rich history with commercial vibrancy.

Despite the tragic collapse of the Hanging Bridge in 2022, the city continues to attract visitors with its cultural landmarks and bustling markets.

The upcoming hotel will offer 75 rooms, dining facilities, a banquet hall, meeting space, a spa, and a swimming pool, enhancing the city's hospitality offerings.

The property's strategic location offers convenient access to the Rajkot International Airport and Morbi Railway Station, as well as road connectivity for travellers.

Lemon Tree Hotels CEO for managed & franchise business Vilas Pawar expressed enthusiasm about the expansion: "We are pleased to announce the expansion of our portfolio in Gujarat with our valued partner Shivdarsh Hospitality. As we diversify our portfolio, we're making forays into tier II, III, and IV cities. This opening will add to our six existing and eight upcoming hotels in the state, and we plan to expand our footprint in Gujarat further."

Lemon Tree Hotels, one of India's largest hotel chains, operates across various segments with seven distinct brands.

Since its inception in May 2004, the group has grown to 160 plus hotels, which which includes over 100 operational hotels and more than 60 hotels set to open in India and internationally.

The company has also marked its international presence with hotels opening in Dubai in December 2019, in Bhutan in February 2020 and in Nepal in April 2024.

The expansion in Morbi aligns with Lemon Tree Hotels' strategy to penetrate deeper into tier I, II, and III cities.

In March, LTHL signed a franchise agreement to open a new hotel in Ranchi, the capital city of Jharkhand, India.
