Lemon Tree Hotels has signed for a property, Lemon Tree Hotel Meerut, which is expected to open in the financial year 2025 (FY 2025), The Economic Times reported.
The Lemon Tree Hotels-franchised hotel will be located in the heart of Meerut, in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
The city is known for blending ancient history and military spirit with contemporary vibrancy and is a key centre for the sports goods and musical instruments industries.
Lemon Tree Hotel Meerut will feature 75 well-equipped rooms, along with amenities such as restaurants, a fitness centre, a swimming pool, a spa, and both outdoor and indoor banqueting and conference facilities.
The hotel's strategic location is complemented by its proximity to Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, which is 90km away, and Meerut railway station, situated 11km from the hotel.
The city's connectivity is further enhanced by the National Expressway 3 and the upcoming Delhi Meerut RapidX, a Regional Rapid Transport System (RRTS), which will reduce the travel time from New Delhi.
Lemon Tree Hotels franchise business CEO Vilas Pawar said: “We are pleased to announce the expansion of our portfolio in Uttar Pradesh. This opening will be in addition to our six existing and three upcoming hotels and resorts in the state.
“The state’s rich culture and manufacturing industries are a great draw for business and leisure travellers.”
Last month, Lemon Tree Hotels signed two new properties – one at Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, and the other at Kundapura, Karnataka.
Set for opening in 2025, Lemon Tree Hotel, Mussoorie will be a 60-key property.
Known as the Queen of the Hills, Mussoorie is situated at an altitude of 2,000m above sea level, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayas.
Lemon Tree Hotel, Kundapura, is expected to open by FY 2027. It will be managed by Lemon Tree’s subsidiary and management arm, Carnation Hotels.
The property will feature 80 rooms, restaurants, a swimming pool, a fitness centre, a meeting room, and other public spaces.
Lemon Tree Hotels has a portfolio that includes more than 150 hotels, over 100 of which are operational and more than 50 in the pipeline in India and abroad.
