Outdoor lodging brand LOGE Camps has further expanded its portfolio to East Coast of the US by adding five new properties, scheduled to open in the first half of 2024.

The new properties include Berkshires, Lenox in Massachusetts; Blue Ridge Mountains, Asheville in North Carolina; Catskills, Palenville in New York; Maine Oceanfront, Southport in Maine; Mt. Snow in Vermont and Northeast Skiing.

Currently, the new additions are in various stages of development set to be available for mid-Spring (March to May) bookings, targeting outdoor enthusiasts.

LOGE Camps founder and CEO Cale Genenbacher said: “It's long been an ambition of ours to bring LOGE to the east coast. The Hudson Valley and nearby pockets of the east coast are where I initially fell in love with climbing, skiing, kayaking and the outdoor community we seek to serve.

“Our passion for adventure, commitment to community involvement, and attention to the values cherished by outdoor enthusiasts make us a great fit for the East Coast, just like we have been out West.”

The effort comes after LOGE Camps secured a capital investment to fund its growth plan.

The East coast expansion has brought the brand’s portfolio to 17 open, operating or under development properties in the Mountain West, Pacific Northwest, and Southwest.

The Berkshires property is expected to offer rooms, bar and café, full restaurant, summer and winter gear demo, meeting, and event space among others.

The Catskills destination will boast of rooms, cabins, summer and winter gear demo, bar and café, pool and wellness amenities, full restaurant, meeting and event space.

The oceanfront property in Maine will have rooms, pool and wellness amenities, summer gear demo, bar and café as well as meeting and event space.

The Northeast Skiing lodging will provide rooms, bar and café, summer and winter gear demo, pool and wellness amenities, meeting and event space.

The Blue Ridge Mountains property is expected to feature rooms, pool and wellness amenities, summer and winter gear demo, bar and café, meeting and event space.

The metaverse may accelerate the travel industry’s recovery, though only compelling use cases will lead to adoption

Large travel and tourism organizations have begun exploring use cases for the metaverse following the devastating impact of the pandemic. Current applications either focus on digital marketing campaigns with real-world rewards for consumers, creating immersive experiences on-site for digitally savvy consumers through AR and VR metaverses, or improving operational efficiency through digital twin technology. However, uptake of the metaverse by smaller operators will remain limited until use cases are affordable and provide a guaranteed return on investment.
