Lords Hotels and Resorts has opened Lords Inn at Moti Khavdi of Jamnagar in the Indian state of Gujarat, reported ETHospitalityWorld.com.

Located close to the Reliance Industries Complex and the National Highway, Lords Inn is positioned as a business hotel with 58 contemporary rooms & suites.

The hotel features a combination of deluxe and executive rooms, suites and offers amenities such as multi-cuisine veg restaurant, banquet hall, lawns, café, board room, fitness facility and swimming pool.

Lords Hotels & Resorts COO Pushpendra Bansal said, “We are delighted to announce the opening of Lords Inn for all our esteemed guests visiting Jamnagar. This vibrant hotel located in the green natural environs will engage guests in one of the finest hospitality in India”.

Lords Hotels and Resorts  has about 60 hotels in India, Nepal, and the US.

Meanwhile, separately, Hotel Association of India (HAI) announced that the hotel occupancy and room rates have gone back to pre-Covid-19 pandemic levels due to the upcoming G20 summit in New Delhi and boost in tourism, reported new agency PTI.

According to HAI secretary general MP Bezbaruah, given the current demand-supply condition, hotel room rates are sometimes higher than even the pre-pandemic period.

In an interview with PTI, Bezbaruah said: "I understand there is very big demand at this time from not only G20 but also from tourists and people who are coming to the metropolitan cities to see all this happening in the cities and for that demand is quite high.

“Apparently, the prices also have gone up because it is primarily a demand and supply situation in the market."

The secretary general did not specify the exact percentage of the tariff increase and called the hotel industry as ‘a very composite industry’.

Demand for upscale and luxurious products has been rising steadily in the travel and tourism sector

The increased need for privacy, a greater focus on health and wellbeing, a desire to tick off ‘bucket list’ experiences, the tendency to take longer trips, the focus on eco-tourism, and an increase in millionaires means the theme of premiumization will continue to grow in importance. The travel industry will experience a surge in demand for higher-end and customized offerings as experiential consumption keeps growing. While premiumization attracts only a small number of global travelers, it is a valuable revenue stream for companies as it is unlikely to be impacted by external factors like economic downturns.
