The Luxury Collection, a part of Marriott Bonvoy, has expanded its portfolio with the opening of its first hotel in Georgia, at Tbilisi.

The Luxury Collection vice-president and global brand leader Philipp Weghmann said: “Bringing The Luxury Collection to Georgia marks a significant milestone for the brand, further underscoring our continued expansion into the world’s most intriguing destinations.

“Paragraph Freedom Square beautifully weaves contemporary design and signature experiences with the rich history of Tbilisi and we look forward to welcoming guests to enjoy this remarkable region.”

The hotel was designed by architectural company Hausart Georgia and the interiors were crafted by HAT Design Paris.

Housed within a building that features a double-curved glass façade, the hotel features 220 guestrooms and suites.

The hotel also features 1,400m² of meeting and event space, including a boardroom, five meeting rooms and two ballrooms. The larger of the ballrooms can accommodate up to 700 guests, the company said.

The property also boasts Paragraph Spa, which is situated on the top floor with six treatment rooms, an infinity pool and a 100m² fitness centre.

Additionally, the hotel's Destination Discovery programme provides experiences such as Georgian wine tastings and tours of the State Opera House.
