Maestro PMS, a web browser-based cloud and comprehensive on-premises property-management solution, has launched a new embedded payments processing solution, called ‘MezzoPay’, designed to streamline hotel transactions.
MezzoPay, which is powered by payments and technology company Fullsteam, enables hoteliers to offer secure and seamless payment capabilities directly within their property management system (PMS).
The integration of this solution is expected to enhance the payment management process, offering a more efficient experience for both guests and operators.
MezzoPay's integration with Maestro PMS allows hotels to bypass third-party payment gateways, reducing the layers of processing and the risk of manual errors.
According to the company, this closer connection results in a better customer experience, allowing people to perform quicker check-in and check-outs with a more reliable payment portal.
Hotel operators can benefit from enhanced transactional data and deeper insights into the financial performance of their property.
Additionally, MezzoPay provides various built-in PCI compliance tools to protect against data breaches and provide timely alerts to business owners in the event of a data breach.
The system also has an internal ‘Payments Dashboard’, which is accessible within the Maestro PMS interface to support contactless payments. This dashboard can be integrated with digital wallets such as Apple Pay.
This eliminates the need for hoteliers to manage multiple third-party relationships.
As of last month, MezzoPay has been rolled out to hoteliers across the US, with a launch in Canada planned in the third quarter of this year.
The company noted that its new solution has already helped operators cut costs associated with third-party fees.
Maestro PMS president Warren Dehan said: “MezzoPay is built from the ground up to be embedded directly into Maestro PMS, and was designed to simplify payment processing at a time when it is at its most complex.
“We believe MezzoPay will help even the playing field for hoteliers at a time when technology costs and complexity continue to grow, and we are thrilled to offer this technology to all Maestro users as soon as possible.”
