Doha, Qatar-based Majestic Hotel has deployed hospitality technology provider Hotelogix’s cloud-based enterprise-grade all-in-one solution, according to HospitalityNet.

With the deployment of Hotelogix’s platform, Majestic Hotel’s management intends to boost its portfolio with new properties while remaining compliant with SITA requirements.

Majestic Hotel caters to leisure and business travellers and is claimed to have earned good ratings on several hotel booking sites for guest service.

Prior to the deployment of Hotelogix’s solution, Majestic Hotel implemented a solution that couldn’t integrate with the SITA platform as well as with some of the preferred third-party solutions.

The SITA platform is mandatory for hotels to gather guest data and share it with Qatar Tourism.

Commenting on the decision to embrace the Hotelogix solution, Majestic Hotel administrative manager Rownak Tahseen said: "The earlier solution was not all-in-one and lacked many functionalities critical for efficient property management. Hotelogix fulfilled all our integration requirements, including SITA, channel manager, door lock and passport scanner."

"The decision to adopt Hotelogix is a well-thought-out strategy, keeping our long-term requirements in mind. We will grow at a decent pace by adding a few new properties soon. That's when Hotelogix will help us go live quickly and gain centralised control over the group operations."

Hotelogix president of sales Brijesh Surendran said: "We are happy to see Majestic Hotel migrating to our all-in-one multi-property management system in line with their next phase of growth and compliance requirements.

“Our solution has everything to help hotel groups across the Middle East comply with various mandatory regulations.”

In May this year, Saudi Arabia-based hotel operation and management company Mirada Group deployed Hotelogix’s multi-property management system to digitise its businesses.

Based in Singapore, Hotelogix has offices in the US, India, the UAE, Thailand and the Philippines. It provides a multi-property management system, the Hotel PMS and Mobile PMS App, for hotel groups.

Cybercriminals are attracted to a wealth of personal data making the travel sector a prime target

The travel and tourism sector is becoming increasingly digitalized, embracing emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and cloud. As the digital ecosystems of companies grow, they become more vulnerable to cyberattacks. The industry is fragmented, thereby increasing the number of potential entry points for attackers to exploit. Collaboration is vital, and companies must ensure that all their vendors also have suitable measures in place. Per GlobalData estimates, cybersecurity revenues in the T&T sector are forecasted to reach $3.5 billion by 2026.
