Hospitality company Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has unveiled a new property in Qianmen, which marks its second location in Beijing, China.

Located in Beijing's Central Axis, Mandarin Oriental Qianmen, Beijing features 42 courtyard houses, various dining areas, and two event spaces, Mandarin Palace and Zhengyang Mansion.

The hotel also features a signature fan designed by renowned Chinese artist Xu Bing. 

The fan incorporates Xu Bing’s original “Square Character Calligraphy”, which arranges alphabets into rectangular patterns, resembling Chinese characters, and the “Unveil Beijing's Soul” is engraved on the fan in Chinese ink.

The hotel offers easy access to the city’s iconic sites, including The Forbidden City, Qianmen and The Temple of Heaven.

The opening of Mandarin Oriental Qianmen was attended by dignitaries from the owning company, Beijing Tianjie Group, Mandarin Oriental Qianmen's general manager Andy Guan and others.

To celebrate the opening, Mandarin Oriental Qianmen offers an exclusive opening offer, which is valid from 2 September 2024 through to 28 February 2025.

It includes a full 24-hour stay, 24-hour on-call butler service, a one-way limousine transfer from Beijing airports or train stations and others.

In July this year, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group announced plans to open a new luxury resort and branded residences on Bali’s Bukit peninsula, Indonesia.
