American hospitality group Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville has further bolstered its portfolio by opening Margaritaville Beach Resort South Padre Island beachfront resort in Texas.
Located in South Padre Island, the property features 200 all-ocean view guest rooms and 50 beachfront condos comprising one, two or three floorplans.
Margaritaville Beach Resort South Padre Island general manager Rone Middler said: “We are thrilled to bring Margaritaville to the South Texas coast, allowing locals, guests and visitors alike to experience a one-of-a-kind oasis.
“An easy drive or plane trip from the major metro areas of San Antonio, Austin, Dallas and Houston and convenient access to Mexico, Margaritaville Beach Resort South Padre Island provides the perfect getaway for guests of all ages looking for fun, relaxation and adventure.”
US-based hospitality investment platform Highline Hospitality Partners, established by Highline Real Estate Partners, invested over $30m to transform the Pearl Hotel South Padre into a Margaritaville resort.
The resort boasts several amenities such as a pool, private cabanas, an exclusive kids' area, a Sapphire Spa with a range of treatment options, a hair and makeup salon and a fitness centre.
Beach adventure activities offered for the guests include windsurfing, parasailing, banana boat rides, dolphin watching, offshore fishing or wave runner rentals at the resort’s concierge desk.
The resort also boasts an 8,000ft² indoor and outdoor meeting and event area featuring the latest audio and visual equipment.
