Chase and Marriott Bonvoy have announced significant upgrades to the Marriott Bonvoy Bold Credit Card.
The card, which remains without an annual fee, now offers increased earning potential and new travel perks designed to appeal to younger consumers.
Key enhancements include a new Travel Now, Pay Later option, allowing cardholders to split eligible travel purchases into interest-free monthly instalments.
The card has also expanded its earning categories to include double points on grocery store purchases, rideshare, food delivery, streaming services, and internet, cable and phone bills.
To accelerate the path to rewards, Marriott Bonvoy Bold cardholders will automatically receive Silver Elite status, granting benefits such as priority late checkout and a 10% points bonus on stays.
Cardholders will also earn five Elite Night credits annually, bringing them closer to higher tier status and additional perks within the Marriott Bonvoy programme.
“We relaunched the Marriott Bonvoy Bold credit card from Chase with the goal of helping new and existing cardmembers make their travel dreams with Marriott Bonvoy a near-term reality,” said Khary Barnes, managing director and general manager of Marriott Bonvoy co-brand cards at Chase, in a statement.
To celebrate the card's revamped features, Chase and Marriott Bonvoy are offering new cardholders a bonus of 60,000 points and a free night award, valued up to 50,000 points, on spending $2,000 in the first three months.
“The enhanced Bold card means everyday purchases will turn into free stays throughout the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio of brands even quicker, and it comes with no annual fee - making it perfect for younger consumers,” said David Flueck, global head of loyalty, cards and partnerships.
The Marriott Bonvoy Bold credit card continues to offer a robust package of benefits, including purchase protection, travel insurance and no foreign transaction fees.
