Marriott International is set to deepen its footprint in France by opening ten new properties, comprising more than 1,000 rooms, by the end of next year.
The company currently includes 69 properties with more than 12,000 rooms across 16 brands in 29 cities across the country.
Marriott’s select service brands, led by Moxy Hotels, are poised for further expansion with three new additions.
Moxy Annecy and Moxy Paris Clamart are expected to open this year while Moxy Nice is anticipated to open by the end of 2025.
These additions will join the nine existing Moxy Hotels in France, which together offer nearly 1,500 rooms.
By the end of next year, the company also plans to launch Residence Inn by Marriott Lille and Courtyard by Marriott Lyon East.
It will also add Aloft Dijon, which is an adaptive reuse project transforming a former post office in the city centre into a modern hotel.
In the luxury hotel segment, Marriott notes that it identifies the potential of conversion and adaptive reuse projects.
Additionally, the company is set to enhance its premium segment offerings with the expected addition of a Tribute Portfolio Hotel in Mougins.
Marriott International France and Benelux development vice president Alexandra Goguet said: “We remain focused on strengthening our presence in primary and secondary markets in France in line with the strong demand we are seeing for leisure and resort experiences, as well as for business travel.
“With our captivating portfolio of brands, world-class distribution platform and Marriott Bonvoy, our award-winning travel programme, we continue to drive robust growth opportunities with owners and franchisees in the market.”
Earlier this month, Marriott International revealed its plans to convert three US luxury properties into Marriott Bonvoy brands.
