Marriott International has reached an agreement with Singapore-based real estate company Hiap Hoe to launch the Aloft Hotels brand in Singapore.
The 785-key Aloft Singapore Novena is scheduled to launch in the third quarter of this year upon a strategic conversion and the company claims it will be the world’s largest Aloft hotel,
Hiap Hoe CEO Teo Ho Beng said: “We are thrilled to announce our third collaboration with Marriott International as we venture and introduce the first Aloft hotel in Singapore.
“Aloft Singapore Novena expects to feature a contemporary and dynamic space that caters to the needs of design-savvy, next-generation travellers and locals.
“We are excited to provide an urban-inspired gathering place that embodies the Aloft brand’s unique personality and energy, tailored for individuals who value boldness, style and connectivity.”
Located near Zhongshan Park, a mixed-use development in the cultural region of Balestier, the new property will consist of two buildings.
Its exterior is designed by Singapore-based architecture company DP Architects and its interiors by KKS International.
Guestrooms will have Sealy beds, free Wi-Fi, 55-inch LCD televisions and rainfall showers.
Aloft Singapore Novena will also feature a Chinese and local seafood restaurant, as well as a Halal-certified buffet restaurant. Other facilities include an outdoor pool, a gym, and meeting and event spaces.
Marriott International Singapore and Maldives market vice-president Gautam Bhandari said: “The signing of Aloft Singapore Novena heralds the expected arrival of Marriott International’s 14th hotel in Singapore and we are delighted to be launching the Aloft brand in the country together with such an experienced partner as Hiap Hoe Limited.
“With the site’s proximity to the city’s Central Business District, as well as to local attractions and green spaces, the location is strategically placed to enable us to attract both business and leisure guests.”
