The former Marriott Hilton Head Resort & Spa in South Carolina, US, has officially rebranded to Hilton Beachfront Resort & Spa Hilton Head Island, becoming the only Hilton-branded full-service resort within a 200-mile radius of the island.
On 1 March 2024, the Hilton Beachfront Resort & Spa Hilton Head Island welcomed guests under its new name, following a comprehensive multi-million dollar revamp.
The rebranded property features revamped 513 guest rooms and suites, including a presidential suite and four vice presidential suites. This follows the recent refurbishment of the resort's public areas, dining options, and event spaces.
Columbia Sussex, the owner and manager of the resort, has positioned the property within the Palmetto Dunes community.
The resort offers access to three miles of beachfront, three PGA-level golf courses, and a variety of outdoor activities across 2,000 acres.
Hilton Beachfront Resort & Spa Hilton Head Island general manager Asvil Correia said: “Groups and individual guests who have booked their meeting or stay with us prior to March 1, 2024 have been seamlessly transitioned.
“Groups are receptive to the change and look forward to future renovations. Our tremendous staff, some of whom have been with the resort for decades, continue to meet and exceed guest expectations.”
Guests at the Hilton Beachfront Resort & Spa Hilton Head Island can enjoy the Shelter Cove Community, which spans 285 acres and includes a harbour, shopping plaza, and the new Shelter Cove Towne Centre.
Located across from Palmetto Dunes on 285 acres of saltwater coastline, the Shelter Cove Community is designed for leisure with ample biking and walking paths, providing a mix of dining, shopping, and entertainment options.
Last week, South Carolina's Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort completed a $26m overhaul.
The renovation covered various areas including the front entrance, guestrooms and courtyard.
