Marriott International and HMI Hotel Group have announced an agreement to expand Marriott's footprint in Japan.
The deal rebrands seven HMI properties across five of Japan's most popular tourist destinations under the Marriott Hotels and Courtyard by Marriott flags.
The strategic partnership allows HMI to revitalise its properties and align them with the latest hospitality trends, while guests benefit from the renowned service and heritage associated with Marriott brands.
The seven HMI hotels are located in Hamamatsu, Kyoto, Kobe, Okinawa and Kitakyushu.
These locations offer rich history, culture and stunning natural beauty, attracting millions of visitors annually.
By bringing established properties under the Marriott and Courtyard by Marriott banners, Marriott International solidifies its position in a key Asian market.
Both parties stand to gain from this collaboration. Marriott International expands its portfolio with well-situated properties in high-demand Japanese destinations, furthering its growth strategy in the Asia Pacific region.
HMI Hotel Group repositions its properties under globally recognised brands, leveraging Marriott's extensive hospitality expertise and unlocking new growth opportunities.
