Marriott International has marked its entry into Papua New Guinea with the opening of Marriott Executive Apartments Port Moresby.

The expansion strengthens Marriott's presence in the Australia, New Zealand and Pacific region, offering a new accommodation option for business travellers seeking extended stays.

Situated within the Harbourside South development, the waterfront property provides a home-away-from-home experience. 

The hotel features 88 modern apartments from one-bedroom suites to two-bedroom penthouses. Each apartment has upscale furnishings, separate living areas, fully-equipped kitchens and in-room washers and dryers.

“We are thrilled to establish our inaugural foothold in Papua New Guinea with this milestone opening”, said Sean Hunt, area vice-president of Australia, New Zealand and Pacific for Marriott International, in a statement.

“This is also a debut for the Marriott Executive Apartments brand in the region, allowing us to diversify our offering to cater to ambitious and adventurous travellers who seek a premium, trusted extended-stay experience.”

Guests can unwind in the Executive Lounge which offers light meals, beverages and a relaxed atmosphere. Additional amenities include a 25-metre outdoor lap pool, a gym, spa treatment rooms and a recreation zone for children.

The complex features a retail floor and three floors of commercial space. It connects to nearby areas, providing easy access to restaurants, bars, a boardwalk and a marina. This integrated development allows guests to live, work, shop and dine within a luxurious setting.

Marriott Executive Apartments Port Moresby also participates in Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott International's loyalty programme. Members can earn points for their stay and enjoy personalised benefits through the Marriott Bonvoy app.
