Marriott launches new hotel in Long Beach, California

The new property offers an on-site restaurant, a rooftop pool, and meeting areas, among others.

Marriott Hotels and Sunstone Hotel Investors have opened Marriott Long Beach Downtown in California, US.

The new urban waterfront property offers 376 guest rooms and suites, a rooftop pool, and a deck with views of the city and ocean.

It features a Greatroom lobby for socialising and work, an exercise facility and a meeting area.

Dining options at the 12-storey hotel include the on-site restaurant Local Current, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Market, a 24-hour hub in the lobby, offers coffee, pastries, and sandwiches.  

The hotel also features the brand’s signature, M Club, providing an exclusive space for Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite, Titanium Elite and Ambassador Elite members and paying guests to relax.

Additionally, the Next Gen Meeting Spaces at Marriott Long Beach Downtown offers more than 21,000ft² of meeting space to accommodate various events, 14 event rooms and 18 breakout rooms.

All meeting spaces are equipped with wireless connectivity, a videoconferencing facility, docking stations and smart whiteboards.  

Guests can also gain access to Long Beach's entertainment hub, which includes walkable dining and shopping options along with attractions, including the Aquarium of the Pacific, the Queen Mary and Shoreline Aquatic Park.
