Marriott International has selected the hospitality software provider Agilysys’ InfoGenesis point-of-sale (POS) platform for its hotels across the US and Canada.
The platform is now available to properties within Marriott’s Luxury, Premium, and Select tiers, offering a unified purchasing experience for both guests and staff.
These properties can use the cloud-native platform across their food-and-beverage, retail, and activity centres.
InfoGenesis consolidates various transactional processes on a single, comprehensive cloud platform.
With the choice of consumer-grade iOS devices and commercial-grade Windows devices, the platform offers flexibility in how transactions are conducted.
This is aimed at maximising revenue, enhancing guest convenience, reducing employee onboarding time, expanding payment option flexibility, and securing payment transactions.
Mobile transactions enabled by InfoGenesis allow staff and guests to conduct business from anywhere at any time.
The platform also supports sales in non-traditional and non-staffed areas such as event spaces, pop-up food and beverage carts, and marketplace settings.
InfoGenesis POS seamlessly integrated with Marriott's property management systems.
This offers front desk operators detailed transactional information, improving guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Agilysys CEO Ramesh Srinivasan said: “Marriott International is a globally admired organisation and we look forward to offering properties across the US and Canada the opportunity to leverage our enterprise-grade InfoGenesis omnichannel point-of-sale technology platform.”
The latest move comes shortly after Marriott International formed a partnership with Balwa Group to launch its Tribute Portfolio-branded hotel in Mumbai, India.
The property is expected to open in March 2026.
