US-based hotel owner-operator MCR has purchased the Courtyard by Marriott North Charleston in South Carolina.
The acquisition of the four-storey hotel marks MCR's fourth hotel in the Palmetto State.
Located at 7465 Northside Drive, the hotel offers 138 guestrooms and suites, along with an outdoor pool and fire pit area, a fitness centre and a grab-and-go market offering snacks and beverages.
Besides a full-service restaurant and bar called the Bistro, the hotel features 1,184ft² of meeting space and a business centre.
The property is situated within a 20-minute drive from downtown Charleston, a ten-minute drive from Charleston International Airport and is close to the Port of Charleston.
Guests at the hotel can visit historic sites such as Fort Sumter and Fort Moultrie National Historic Park.
In August this year, the hotel owner-operator acquired two hotels in the prime submarkets of Phoenix, in the US state of Arizona: the Hampton Inn by Hilton Phoenix-Biltmore and the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Scottsdale – Old Town.
MCR is a hotel management company with offices in New York City, Dallas, Chicago and Richmond.
The company has developed and invested in 189 hotel properties under 31 brands and currently, the company offers over 25,000 guestrooms in 150 hotels across 37 US states and 107 cities.
