Minor Hotels has introduced the NH Collection Hotels & Resorts and NH Hotels & Resorts brands in Sri Lanka, with two new properties.

The company will manage the two properties following an agreement with Softlogic Holdings, the owner of the new properties.

NH Collection Colombo Hotel, a five-star property in Colombo, opened this month while the NH Bentota Ceysands Resort is expected to open on 1 July. 

These properties will join the company’s existing three hotels in the country. 

Softlogic Holdings chairman Ashok Pathirage said: “We are delighted to collaborate with Minor Hotels to manage our property in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Minor Hotels has a proven track record of successful management and is renowned for its exceptional hospitality standards.

“We at Softlogic Holdings are excited to be a part of NH Collection and NH’s debut in Sri Lanka and look forward to an outstanding partnership with Minor Hotels in the future.”

NH Collection Colombo Hotel has 219 rooms and suites, with sizes ranging from 33m² to 254m². 

It also offers what is said to be the city's largest Presidential Suite.

In addition, the hotel offers a variety of dining options with six food and beverage outlets, a rooftop bar, and a café and lounge in the lobby area.

It provides two banquet facilities, five meeting rooms, and a boardroom, with a capacity to accommodate up to 200 guests.

The hotel's wellness amenities feature a gym, a rooftop infinity pool, and a spa.

NH Bentota Ceysands Resort, situated between the Bentota River and the Indian Ocean, will offer 166 rooms and suites, varying from 37m² to 139m² in size.

Dining options to be provided at the property comprise five restaurants and bars. 

Additional amenities include a swimming pool, a water sports centre, a spa, and a kid's club.

Minor Hotels comprises more than 90 NH Collection and 230 NH hotels and resorts across the world.

The latest announcement comes just after Minor Hotels’ upscale lifestyle brand Avani Hotels & Resorts’ debut in the Netherlands.
