Marriott Bonvoy’s Moxy Hotels brand has entered Mumbai, the capital city of Maharashtra, India, with a 105-room hotel.

The new Moxy Mumbai Andheri West features industrial-chic bedrooms with amenities such as foldable workspace desks and chairs, peg walls, 55-inch flat-screen televisions, and retro phones.

It offers a variety of communal spaces, including a lounge, library, and plug-in area on the mezzanine level, along with three food and beverage spaces, and a gym.

It also features two event spaces suitable for hosting intimate gatherings.

The new hotel in Andheri West is 9km from Mumbai International Airport.

Marriott International South Asia area vice president Ranju Alex said: “Moxy boldly breaks the rules of a conventional hotel stay, and we are thrilled to introduce this dynamic brand to Mumbai — a city that perfectly mirrors the hotel's fun, social and modern spirit. We look forward to welcoming our fun-hunters and next-generation travellers, to experience Moxy's spirited take on hospitality.

“Moxy Mumbai Andheri West is set to deliver a vibrant hotel experience at an accessible price, featuring lively communal spaces and a team dedicated to ensuring that guests have a memorable stay, whether for work or play.”

Moxy Hotels has more than 135 properties across more than 25 countries and territories.

Marriott Bonvoy's portfolio encompasses more than 30 hotel brands, providing travellers with over 10,000 destinations worldwide.

Earlier this year, Moxy Hotels revealed the opening of Moxy Chongqing, the brand's first property in Chongqing, China.

This hotel has 360 guest rooms, a “Moxy Pick-ups” service, a fitness centre, and an ironing room, among others.
