Moxy Hotels, a hotel brand under the Marriott Bonvoy's portfolio, has made its debut in Northern Norway with the opening of Moxy Tromsø.

Moxy Tromsø features 208 guest rooms and offers several amenities, such as walk-in showers, a 55-inch flat-screen TV and LED guidelights.

Danish hotel operator Core Hospitality is the operator of the property, whereas Denmark-based architect firm Mette Fredskild Studio has designed the property.

Sandra Schulze-Potgieter, Marriott International vice-president for premium and select brands for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said: “We are thrilled to expand our Moxy Hotels footprint in Norway with the opening of Moxy Tromsø, unlocking Marriott Bonvoy's Northernmost destination in the world.

“Moxy is known for its young-at-heart spirit and Tromsø is an incredible destination for our fun-hunters to add to their bucket list, with a different stay and experience for each season.”

The 11th-floor rooftop terrace offers views of the city and the fjord. The indoor lounge features a telescope to observe wildlife and for stargazing.

Its Sky Bar Moxy is a communal area with a light bites menu and crafted cocktails, while the Moxy Pickups menu serves international cuisine and has an exclusive barista counter that offers coffee.
