Minor Hotels has announced the opening of the NH Collection Samui Peace Resort in Surat Thani, marking the NH Collection brand's debut in Thailand.

Nestled at Bophut Beach near the Fisherman’s Village, the resort opened its doors after an extensive renovation.

The property boasts 122 rooms, suites, and villas, offering a range of accommodations to suit various guest needs.

The resort's second-floor garden view terrace rooms feature al fresco tubs for guests to enjoy in privacy while the family suites are equipped with bunk beds, teddy bears, and daybeds to accommodate an additional sleeper.

The pool suites on the ground floor are designed with walled-off areas for private poolside relaxation and jacuzzi experiences.

Among the NH Collection’s nine villa categories, the 42m² Premier Villas are set in the gardens, and the beachfront villas offer plunge pools and showers.

The Presidential Pool Villa, spanning 230m², is secluded in a private corner of the resort and includes an infinity pool, living room, and a BBQ area.

For recreation, the resort provides a freeform pool with sea views, a fitness centre, and daily activities such as Muay Thai, yoga, and aqua aerobics.

Guests can also participate in private cooking classes that highlight local cuisine, particularly dishes featuring Samui coconuts.

The resort caters to younger guests with a pool, an in-nature playground, a cinema room, and a kids' club.

Dining options at the NH Collection Samui Peace Resort include the Sea Wrap restaurant and bar, offering buffet breakfasts, Thai specials, and cocktails.

The Talay Bar serves drinks with Thai spirits and provides a variety of private dining experiences, from beachside BBQs to in-villa tasting menus.

Guests also have the option to dine at the nearby Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort.

The resort is also a venue for wedding ceremonies, accommodating events from beachside banquets for up to 200 guests to traditional Thai water blessing ceremonies.

This development is part of Minor Hotels' strategy to expand its NH brand across Asia, with the NH Collection Samui Peace Resort being the latest addition following the October 2024 launch of NH Bangkok Sukhumvit Boulevard.

The company has plans for further launches in the region, including China, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives.
